I've been thinking a lot about a device for capturing all your thoughts that would replay it to you whenever you want. That little machine would also be able to help people with dementia, too. It would be placed in your brain and would record all your feelings, thoughts, ideas and such and you would be able to access it with your thoughts. Cool, no?Anyway, I've been watching Fringe and listening to Rose K. by Rasputina so that might have triggered this.
This is not a photomanipulation.
Art theft is a crime - whenever you steal my photo, a baby unicorn dies.

what a simply outstanding nice cool photograph

my interpretation is that the warm glow represents intense emotion, painful memories, captured in the box.
The opening the box is a release of her personal anger, she is hesitant to face the contents of the box but must let it go...
in contrast to the idea of a memory box, I see a release of pain,,,,,as they say ,, there are some memories that are better of being forgotten, Yes, her fingernails could look better, it is a very emotional piece, conveyed by the red nail polish, the positioning of her hands, and the dark background in start contrast with the warm glow, nice work, conveys intense emotions..

TEHNIKALIJE???
Neću se osvrtat na oštrinu fotografije,dubinu polja ili neke druge tehnikalije vezane po meni više za kvalitetu samog fotoaparata nego fotografa a koje za konceptualnu fotografiju smatram apsolutno nebitnima
budući da je u ovakvoj fotografiji nekada manje ustvari više,primjerice namjerno promašiti fokus,"pre" ili "pod"eksponirat sliku da se dobije željena atmosfera i slično...
IDEJA
zapravo veoma fascinantna ideja,sada se nameće pitanje što bi se dogodilo da se izvadi "naš čip" i na njegovo mjesto umetne "nečiji drug"?kako bi smo onda znali da smo to "mi" primjerice bi li bili poput čovjeka koji dobije amneziju neznam,u nekoj nesreci pa o sebi poslije apsolutno ne zna ništa i ne dozivljava sebe više kao sebe?bi li primjetio zamjenu čipova bar u prvi mah?mozda,buduchi da bi tada proizvodio svoja sjećanja,nova,koja se ne bi poklapala sa onima iz čipa?bi li to ljude tada učinilo nekim multimedijalnim playerima nešto ala dockovima,samo umetneš prijenosni medij i"sviraš"i..ne znam,da li bi na kraju krajeva bilo etički ispravno da drugi gledaju naša sjećanja budući da ona pripadaju samo nama i u tome je njihova čar......
ZAKLUČAK:
bilo kako bilo mislim da je slikom željeno svakako postignuto......o ideji nam ostaje još puno razmišljanja......

Kada bi zamijenili čip (a to bi bilo vrlo teško jer bi za svaku osobu postojao unikatni čip), ne bi se osjećali kao taj netko čiji je čip, već bi samo mogli proživljvati cijeli njegov život, što bi vjerojatno bilo malo uznemirujuće. 
Mislim da bi zapravo bio vrlo koristan u slučaju amnezije, demencije i slično jer bi mogli jednostavno listati po sjećanjima.
Mogla bi stvarno napisati puno o ovom.

užasno sam "zelen" u takwoj vrsti fotografije a ovdje sam tek nekoliko dana pa mi rečeno jako puno znači,pratim twoje radove već dulje vrijeme,samo odlični i još bolji,posebni,unikatni,jednostavni a opet pogađaju cilj 100%-tnom preciznošću,posebno me se dojmilo neobrađivanje i nefotomanipulacija što je danas doista prava rijetkost i vrlina pa sam si po uzoru na tebe i ja pokušao zadati isto,neka budu kakve su uslikane pa valjalo-nevaljalo

This makes me think of when i was younger and my mom use to sing me to sleep for some reason the box reminds me of the feeling of falling asleep to her singing, its a very beautiful and simple yet inspiring photo.

For a non-photomanip this is TRULY astounding! I love the play on 'Pandora's Box' and yes you did capture a little of Fringe in it as well.
The pop of color against a darkened background really centers the focus on what matters.
