Description i remember
the day her breath expired

that was the day the earth turned
burned
the words
of my soul.

the day that the no birds flew
or sang

and the day the ground beneath me
made my very bones shake.

did you know
that even when you think the fire's out,
it still rages within?

Thank you. I had another one that was similar, but I think I made the right choice in posting this one.

With wildfires so close to me right now, this is especially powerful. So many people are losing everything they own.

On a related note, what book did you burn? The very idea is making me go

It was called "The Seduction of Peter S." I picked it up at a local thrift store. I figure if its last act was to be forever immortalized in the world of art, well, that's a pretty good way to go out. I'd like to go out that way. Not sitting in a local thrift store, unloved.

That's sad to hear right now, my family is in the midst of flash floods, so its opposite for me.

The words and the photo paint an image of passion and loss.
