This piece as an amazing intrinsic artistic quality in it.. every inanimate object, every small part of the frame could be an amazing still life per se. Not to mention the pretty awesome narrative quality of the characters... BRAVO!

I'm not one to usually be impressed by huge amounts of detail, but...holy heck! Every single miscellaneous object included contributes to the story. I am awestruck by how lifelike the textures are, and I love how even with the intense detail, it is still painterly and visually cohesive. These are the kind of paintings that you stare at for a solid ten minutes. Congrats on another DD, you deserve it!

How awesome IS this?!
Not sure who the 'rodent's' rival is unless it's the 'dragon' and the rodent is a merchant as well. It looks more like the dragon is operating in the open "Grey Market", Nice touch with the human mask under the table to the right.
Adds more questions to the picture. I have to agree with many others, this just -screams- for a story!! Is there one?

No particular story. It all started with a very rough sketch. I liked the characters at once. And the plot appeared in my head.
