consumed by darkness. Day in and day out. The only light in my life is the flame that burns down to in my soul. that we someday see a better day. but until that day comes, there will be no other light in my life- DonatelloNot much of a writer as you can tell. this was a fun exersize that I worked on for light sourse. So enjoy.

I must say this piece really struck me, and I'd have to agree lighting would be suited from the global perspective, I had no idea you did this piece and I do believe you have hit a good tone with this. Who says Leo has to be the only intense one, it is Donnie turn to sit in the light for a while. One of your best pieces for me. hope you don't mind the fav, i am still seeking the all power of dribbles and juice! Faboulous piece man, i really love the intensity.

Donatello looks so intense, that's usually Leo's job.
As for the pic itself very nice! I really like how he is immersed in black in darkness like that. Really adds to the mood. Big, moody, angsty Don. Move over Leo!

that's great! Since you did it for a light execise, may I comment more? It seems like the light on Donnie's body comes from above, yet the global light of the picture seems to come from the right. When I do shadows on a character, I try to make it follow the global lighting of the place, like the light on Donnie should come from the right too, don't you think? Otherwise I find it great, don't bother my critism much

you know, I really wish my own work has critics too... you know who my best critic is? My boyfriend. He thinks that shredding my work to pieces and overly critisize it will prepare me for the real world.

no he doesn't have a deviant... he just stands beside me, asking me what I do, and when I criticize, he joins in. He criticizes but is not an artist. He's more of a gamer.
