Description - Lady Of The Lake -
FIAT R.S 14 seaplane of the Regia Aeronautica (Italian Air Force)
Lake Como, Italy around 1943/44

This drawing is my largest work to date and therefore took ages to do!
I started working on it in October 2003 and been working on it on-and-off ever since
and finally finished it around Christmas last year. I am very proud of the piece as it
was the first I had used pencil and ink together to create the many effects of water,
metallic surfaces and reflections!

A1 size Ashrad board (image size: 850mm X 400mm)
Derwent Graphite, 1H to 9B
Permanent markers
Fineliners
Mechanical pencil

Very impressive, when I saw the thumbnail I thought it was a photo, and even in full view you could pass it off as being from a grainy camera.

only advice would be the sky or background, kinda fades out or not enough darkness to match the ripples in the water
