Description I have done a few pics of Owlman in the past, but not so many of the other characters from Earth 3 in DC comics. This is Superman's evil counterpart from Earth 3, Ultraman. The version that appeared in the new 52/Forever Evil. My personal favorite version of Ultraman. (And considering that the new lego DC villains game seems to take inspiration from Forever evil has me excited!)

This version of Ultraman is Kal-Il, who comes from a version of Krypton whose people are mean-spirited and selfish. Unlike their other incarnations, they gain power when exposed to green Kryptonite. Just before this Krypton was destroyed, Kal-Il's parents Jor-Il and Lara sent him to Earth-3 to one day seek vengeance against the being that destroyed Krypton (whom Jor-Il inadvertently summoned), teaching him to become the strongest being on the planet, or to become nothing at all. Upon his arrival on Earth-3, the young Kal-Il coerced a young couple of alcoholic drug addicts Johnny and Martha Kent to adopt him, only to murder them years later once he had no further need of them. He went on to found the Crime Syndicate and take over the world. Ultraman is a violent, homicidal megalomaniac, as well as an elitist and Darwinist who values strength and selfishness, and hates weakness and altruism. After Earth-3 was devastated by the same being that destroyed Krypton-3 which turned out to be the Anti-monitor, Ultraman led the Crime Syndicate to the Prime Earth to conquer it.

This version of Ultraman possesses the standard powers of a Kryptonian, only he is empowered by green Kryptonite (being able to crush it into powder and even snort it like cocaine) and is weakened by yellow sunlight. He was responsible for murdering Monocle when he claimed that the Crime Syndicate was the Justice League in disguise. Ultraman moved the moon in front of the sun to eclipse the Crime Syndicate's section of Earth as well as to protect himself from its rays

But yeah. this is my personal favorite of the different versions of Ultraman.

Ultraman belongs to DC comics.

I think the snorting kryptonite like coke is a bit too much personally.

But can't deny that Ultraman in many forms is a great antimatter Supes.

My favorite incarnation of the Crime Syndicate still has to be the one from the Crisis on Two earths movie.

I can understand that. I feel it kinda fits him as he is supposed to be a reverse superman, and have him be an addict to his powers so to speak, so..but thats just what I feel personally.

That he truly is!

Thats great!

Did I mention the Arrowverse Crime Syndicate that was introduced in a recent Arrowverse flash novel?

Yeah, it's a fairly new book series that shows what would have happened if Barry had changed his mind about saving his Mom after season 2. It reads just like an alternate Season 3, with each book focusing on a story while having an overarching story arc. The first book has Barry confront Hocus Pocus, who is a young Abra Kadabra. He mind controls Barry for a while before Madame Xanadu gives Barry advice on how to outsmart him. Hocus still escapes though and leaves behind his wand, which Barry decides to take to Earth 2 for analysis. Cisco had been depriving himself of sleep however and ends up dozing for over a day because of it. Barry ends up using his old tachyon harness to go to Earth 2 instead, but the wand makes the harness act up and send him to the Crime Syndicate's Earth instead, here called Earth 27. Johnny Quick is the only one to appear, but the rest of the Syndicate do exist and are mentioned by name. Johnny is combined with the Golden Age Johnny Quick and uses the special formula to boost his speed. He also wears the Silver Age Johnny Quick suit with the exposed face, but constantly vibrates to keep his identity secret. He turns out to be Eddie Thawne.

He's a wimp when he's deported isn't he?

Still, there's plenty of evil versions of Superman out there but they do get some get depth to how different they are from Superman, like this version and Bizarro. Gonna draw Power Ring next?

yeah, when he was depowered, but I think it kinda fits with the character since he is supposed to be a sort of reverse superman.

oh, I plan too. I plan to draw all the syndicate villains that has been confirmed to appear in the new lego DC villains game as they are the main villains there. Really excited and the fact the game seems to take inspiration from forever evil also makes me excited.

Yeah, it really does fit him

Ohhh, adapting Forever Evil? that’ll be awesome to see

That it does.

heh indeed! While Im sure the story of the game will be somewhat different (Such as the Joker in the game will have a big role judging by the trailer) The plot is clearly inspired by forever evil, as the story is that the justice League has vanished and the Crime syndicate has arrived to take over, and then a gang of villains will defeat the crime syndicate similar to how Lex Luthor gathered a group of villains to battle the crime syndicate in the original story.

Yeah

Oh right, sounds like it’ll be a fun version of it. I guess Joker will be with the villains that teams up with Lex Luthor to fight the Crime Syndicate

Oh right it’s cool Lex has his Superman armour, not too happy Harley is there, but is that Mercy Graves with them?

Scurvypiratehog In reply to PrimalPrince [2018-06-03 21:07:24 +0000 UTC]

yes, that is Mercy Graves.

Another difference with this game and Forever Evil is that in this version, Aquaman's counterpart "Sea King" Doesn't die on their trip to the main DC Earth, so he is alive with them! chaos-is-coming-wbgames-com.s3…

Ah right, given it’s Mercy, we could get some interesting interaction from her and Harley

Ah yeah, can just see him it’ll be interesting how they’ll do Power Ring too, given he’s actually powered by his own fear. He could be the comic relief

Even though the evil Superman trope is cliche at this point, it's still a legitimately scary concept what would happen if Superman threw off his morals.

Actually, the DC ultraman originally appeared in DC comics in 1964, while this guy that you show me here first appeared in 1966. So...
