Description "Parasitic Hunter"

CLASS: WORMBRAIN

Reduced to little more than a secondary skin or "husk," the hippo-sized hominid puppet of the Cestoid performs all metabolic functions while the massive parasitic worm controls locomotion and engages prey. Cestoid typically reproduce by mating a male husk with a female, producing a litter of "pups" individually injected with worm larvae. In the absence of a suitable mate, however, the worm may inject a single larva into a healthy Homo sapiens of compatible sex. As the larva matures, the host slowly molts and deforms into a crude new husk, only dimly aware of its former life.

----------------

I originally meant for the mutant host body to "flow" more with the worm, fitting it more tightly and continuing a wormy shape. Instead it came out looking like a weird turtle thing...I guess it'll do for now.

Now I'm a little curious about something: is the host-creature still mobile (as in, does the host walk about to move the worm), or is the host limply dragged along (as in, does the worm itself slither along to move the host)?

Gotta love that cocky grin! Also, I'm pretty sure that the things on the worm's head are supposed to be like a planarian's head-fin things, but to me, they seem very suggestive of devil horns...

love it. i like parasitic worms that control a host but aren't tiny and unnoticeable.

Humans get treated pretty much how our modern society treats rats. Lab animals, pet food, occasionally pets themselves.
