I've been curious to meet Astrid since the very first time Caleb mentioned her. I fell in love with the way Mercer introduced the character, not a villainous murderer, but someone who is convinced that all the horrible things she's done can be justified by a higher purpose.Lawful evil? Maybe she aims to take Trent's place within the Assembly and change the way things are done. I just hope it won't end in a fight.

This is a great representation of the character... I think, like Veth, I'm kind of shipping them (at least I think Veth was... or maybe it was Jester? One of the ladies, anyway).

Thanks! I’m aware that it might be somewhat strange given what happened in the past and the way things are now between Caleb and Astrid, and yet I have to admit that I would find much more interesting some kind of lingering feelings between the two of them than any other couple within the M9. I don’t expect them to be together or anything, but I like the idea of Caleb still in love with his Astrid, or at least, with the memory of her from his past. ╮(￣▽￣)╭

I'm right there with you -- For one, it'd be nice to have Caleb feel those kinds of feelings instead of remorse and self-loathing. econd, it'd be nice for him to try to redeem Astrid in the same way, in some ways, the Might Nein have redeemed him. And if that id possible, then the possibility that he could actually have a full life with someone who loves and accepts him and can truly understand what he went through? That's gold.
