Description Last year, during my trip to Nice in the summer I bought pair of earrings made with thread, that I loved (I actually got two - one was tear-shaped, the other was a half moon). During a visit, I showed them to and she told me she was sure I could make my own. At that point I wasn't so sure, since I didn't know how to coil the wire and a few other things. But this summer I decided to finally look for some information online and even though not very clear and complete, I did manage to find some and putting small pieces together, as well as making my own conclusions, I went for it. After about 3 tries, I finally managed to make one earring that I was happy with so I also made its pair . I'm sure I still have things to learn about making them (mostly about having them look as clean as possible, but also to make my life easier), but I think I am on the right track.

The reason I decided to post these now is because I finally got around to making a light tent and buying some light sources (actually just a desk lamp, since I already had one). Despite the fact that the setup was far from perfect and it took me a while to calibrate everything, I managed to take some shots of these, as well as some of 's beautiful bracelets.

I'm still hoping I will be able to make a few pairs of these for the upcoming Nijikon event (this weekend), along with some quilled earrings and lots of Fimo jewelry and charms, especially since my dad built me a coiling gizmo to help me with coiling the wire.

*Note: these were made with copper wire I got from my dad because they were a test - for the ones I will sale at Nijikon I will use silver plated wire.
