Smilodon populator, the largest saber-toothed cat, lived in South America at the Pleistocene. After the great american biological interchange felines, canines, Bears and other carnivores occupied the predator niche in the southern continent, once occupied by marsupials and fororracos, among others.Hope you like it.

when I was 14, I tried drawing a smilodon on top of a picture of the skull in one of my school library books... I've been meaning to try it again... This is great, and what tickles me, is I can see something that comes through that attempt and this (successful) drawing of a smilodon. It's just awesome to feel that we have a way to picture what this amazing feline really looked like!
