Description Simba--children's illustration style.

This sketch has been sitting on my computer collecting dust for the past couple years.    I recently purchased a new Photoshop brush pack and thought this would be a good test-run illustration.  (And it was a great excuse to do some fan art!  )  No matter how old I get, The Lion King will always be my favorite movie.

I'm really loving the childlike atmosphere here <3 The colours are very vibrant and really attract the viewer's eye. It has a whimsical feel to it. I love the way you drew Simba with a proud expression on his face

Thanks, dear!  (And big thanks for the fave!  )  I'm glad you sensed a whimsical-feel--I've been trying to convey that a lot more in my children's art.    I've had a lot of fun playing around with new textures to better capture that "childhood essence."    Thanks for the sweet comment--it's always great hearing from you!

Thank you!    I've gotten a lot of positive feedback at conferences about using kid-centric mediums in my illustrations, so I'm trying to do that more.  (And what's more kid-centric than crayons?  )  Thanks for the nice comment--I always love hearing from you!
