Prompt: Mentorship - Passing on knowledge is an important part of a tokota's life. Your tokota has been assigned an apprentice from their pack and must teach them something new to help them grow.

Short Story

The small pup had followed him around for quite a while now. It had lost its parents, but luckily was old enough, to not need his mother's milk anymore. But it was still far too young, to live on its own. So the whole pack stepped in to raise it. Everyone was teaching the pup what they knew. It was a small mostly white Akota pup, with two heart shaped patches on his back and side. They had called the tiny puppy Eros. It was curious, like puppies are, but to Kodlaks surprise well behaved. Kidlak hadn't been fond of the thought to have to take care of the pup. Most of the time he found them noisy and annoying. But he knew he had to do this too. The puppy was part of the pack and as such it needed help. And he had to do his part to. And today was Kodlaks turn. It was early in the morining, the sun had just started to rise and everything was coloured with a blue tint. Kodlak, the large lilac coloured dire was walking across a meadow, the tiny pup walking behind him. With its short legs it had to nearly run, to keep up with Kodlaks pace. But it didn't complain. The dire stopped for a moment, to give Eos a chance to catch up. The puppy was still so small, but Kodlak knew it was most likely going to grow even larger than himself.
"You are so fast!" The little Akota said, as it came to a stop next to the dire. "One day I'll be so fast, too!" he said, as he looked up at Kodlak with big eyes. "What are we going to do today?" "Well... I thought we could take a look at some of the plants and flowers around here-" the dire started. "Flowers? How boring... I tough we would do something exciting, like hunting!" "Don't worry, you will get to hunt soon enough. But let me assure you, plants aren't as boring as you think. Some can heal and some can hurt you. And if you know what they can do, you can use them." "How can a flower hurt me. Or heal me?" the little pup looked up at the dire. "Well, I can't really explain you how, I just know that it works. But If you're ready to listen, I'll tell you everything that I know."
"Booooring!" Eros replied once again. "Well you have to stick with me today. And if you learn good, I miiiight take you on a hunt later." At those words Eros expression lightened up. "Really?" "Yes, maybe -. but only of you listen good." "Okay I'll do that, but you have to promise!" The tiny pup demanded as it jumped around the dire.
It reminded Kodlak of how excited he was, when he was allowed to joing his first hunt. And he could see himself in Eros for a bit. "Then lets get started." Do you know how these flowers are called? Kodlak pointed at some yellow dandelions that just started to open their buds for the day.
