Oh god I'm so sick of looking at this. I spent so much time painting and repainting this it's silly. In the end I ended up using the first one I did because the colours were the best in that one. I'm still not satisfied, but I really want to be finished with it so I'm submitting it and I'm never going to look at it again

While I'm not usually a fan of a cannon-less Samus, this is a really great composition. You got the proportions right with the Metroid Prime design. And the shading/coloring is very well done. The background is nothing to dismiss!, I like it a lot

I just got lazy with the cannon, so I chose to draw her without it instead
Maybe in the future I'll draw her with it.

Shoulderpads are a bit gratuitous, but so are the ones in Prime, so you're safe.

Great use of color here, the yellow has a nice contrast against the dark blue. And the use of orange is also great because it creates that eye-catching opposite color scheme. ^^
Okay, so now moving onto the actual subject of the piece…
The shading and proportions of the girl’s face are flawless, excellent job there. Oh and great job on the armor too, it looks great. ^^
One thing I noticed was her left hand which appears too small to me. I know that it’s partly the armor throwing that off, but when I try to picture the girl without the armor I still thing it’s a little out of proportion…
Anyway, overall this is a great piece. ^^ I give it a 10. It just feels very… finished to me. ^^
