No, it was supposed to be 1630s-40s, but I made the dress a lot less poofy because it was starting to look odd. It does look somewhat 1820s, though the waist is too long for a Romantic style. I don't think I'll be strictly "historical" with these dresses since they're fantasy characters, but I am pulling bits and pieces from different paintings:

Oooh ok! I see it now, you haven't changed the period for Snow White at all. I think I assumed it was 1830s because of the tight little sleeves on the forearms and the roses in the air.
The second painting you linked is one of my favourite paintings and costume references. I f*ckin' love that dress! lol
(I'm glad to be honest that its not 1830s. Because you've given me inspiration to draw my own Snow White from a similar period. lol. Thanks for that)
