His name is Sleet. He runs a tavern-inn called the Bard's Beacon, a popular stop for wearing travelers and musicians looking to make a penny alike. His tavern is always full of mead and laughter, and the fire is always warm and welcoming.
Sleet himself is a little grumpy, with a soft heart, always willing to lend a hot meal to those who are really struggling. Reputable for his eye for scammers and criminals, he is often regarded as a trustworthy fellow, one who will listen to your sorrows while he wipes down glasses at the bar or shakes up a drink. He's very quiet and has impeccable timing during conversation.
His life is a bit of a mystery, however, and has a knack for picking up people who could be valuable assets in any given situation. From animi to locksmiths, farmers to mapmakers, he knows a little of everyone--and those are the ones always willing to lend a talon or come for some drink, even in the lean hours of the night. It's almost as if he's building a group of people who trust him, people who could be valuable and helpful in the event of--ah, but what could he possibly know about that? He's just a simple innkeeper, after all...
