BADASSSSSSSSSSEveryone's favorite Lords, Brawl styal! Ike is my favorite personality-wise, but I main Marth in SSBM and SSBB. Also, meta knight is fucking cheap. Don't talk to me if you main meta knight.
This has been sitting on my HD forever, because I hate doing base colors. But I barreled through today.

Brawllll fffghgh I love Marth and Ike. Too bad I like Lucas and Snake like ten times more LOL (shhh don't talk tell me how fail they are, I just play for fun 8V) Yeah I kind of agree with you on Meta Knight. Still fun to play. OH LOL I'm going on. Just got Brawl so yeah derp derp.
Yeahhhh ffff I love the contrast between the characters and the colors used. I noticed that their shirts (or w/e they're called idk) were similar colors, but you managed to make them look different. oh god i'm bad at explaning things This is why I nver comment on artwork. I also like how different their poses are. Also feels very in character~

Badass indeed! Marth actually looks awesome - I usually think he's a sissy, but not today! Ike and Roy are as cool as ever, too! Ike's one of my mains on Brawl, and yeah, I think Meta Knight's cheap too (Link main here!) Thing is, I tried using him and he's rubbish in 4-man matches, and also rubbish if he can't jump lots. I experimented trying to win a match using only two jumps, like nearly everyone else, and it's nigh on impossible!
Link's my main, followed closely by Ike and his tremendous walloping!

Marth is pretty broken in melee, but nowhere as broken as meta knight. If you can jump off a stage and fly all the way around to the other side, then....

I never liked Marth because I found it too much trouble fussing with his timing. Roy was better for me and I thus like his spiritual successor Ike.

Yeah, you def have to work hard on timing him right to be able to use marth to his full potential, but when you do, he becomes so much more powerful than roy u_u Ike would be great if he wasn't so slow, against a fast fighter or even medium speed technical fighter he doesn't stand a chance, but I like using him anyway when I'm just playing for fun.

I'm actually pretty good with Ike, because I learned all his little foibles. He's fast for the crazy power he has, so the trick is to exploit that speed and make him seem fast - a trick I learned from a friend who mained Nightmare on Soul Calibur 2. Nightmare was fast for the power he had, and if you weren't careful, his Nightmare could be insanely fast. I style my Ike that way.

I main Roy in Melee, Marth in Brawl and as my second in Melee, and I will play with Ike sometimes.

I play wolf too! He's a secondary character, mostly because he's a little slow with his attacks you know, and doesn't hold up well in matches with very technical players.

The colors in this are super-fab; I sorta feel like a darker background would really make the characters pop, but eh, that's just me.
My mains are Wario and Captain Falcon. I'm the guy who sneaks up behind the serious technical fighters and run my bike over them, or just spams the Falcon Punch whenever I get bored. I tend to lose a lot, but I have a damn fun time doing it.

I'll be the first to admit I struggle with darker backgrounds and lighting a little. But I never really had one in mind for this pic when I was planning it in my head, and it strikes me as odd that I never tried until you mentioned it now. I think it might be because the capes are dark, or something, and I wanted them to pop more because I like capes. IDK.
I am constantly trying to make my style more technical! I always lose against those really jumpy technical ones that listen to the clicking sounds your controller makes to find out what move you're going to do next (it's practically screen-watching! UNFAIR) and like, catalog what direction you tend to go in after a fall in order to cut you off. I am glad you have fun, I am constantly like >:C when playing.

I see what you mean about the capes- really, if you just made that area around the redhead's, er, head darker it'd really bring out the color in his costume- you could then make the bg gradually lighter to bring out the other character's capes and make those parts pop too. There's no rule that says you can only have one color in your background- considering how much stuff you hide it behind, even just a simple gradient might work. I usually work with a bazillion layers in Photoshop so that I can fiddle with every part if I feel the need to, so that might not be a feasible solution for you. ^^"
It's for that reason that Smash Bros. is the only fighter I ever have fun with- I'm decent at competitive games, but against the guys who actively practice and actually try to be technical I get my ass handed to me. It's for that reason that I generally don't like LAN parties- at least, the ones that don't have Rock Band. Then I just hang around there like the whole time, since I'm usually the only person there who can sing on Expert. Then I proceed to wreck my vocal chords until I pass out. I feel like I should start seeing a vocal trainer or something so that I don't lose my voice- my throat hurts a bit still from playing Beatles Rock Band the other night. But damn do I love them harmonies. XD

I herd! I don't know why they didn't update the writing on Shadow Dragon, it was terribul. I hope they do better on this one. After Radiant Dawn, I'm feeling good enough about the franchise to give it a second chance.
