GYM LEADER GARRET
- looks like a more unkempt, buffer version of himself
- is still Angry
- and Hobolike
- ain't so crazy no more

- got off rare candy, straight onto other substances (shroomish, spores, oddish leaves FUCK YEAH)
- hasn't washed that cape ever
- replaced his hat WITH A NEW HAT (awwwwww)
- somehow became a gym leader in some backwater town that no one visits (it's in the moutains somewhere)

All the little details; the spots, gloves, belts and the really grungy pencil-y texture adds so much to this, he's just so completely badass.
The big bird on his shoulder is so impressive looking with its arms all outspread, it almost makes Garret look angelic. Except that nasty-as-fuck expression on his face kinda throws that concept out the window a little bit.

Awwww thank you! I'm glad that I was able to get garret to lose the jacket and gloves, I never really liked them after they started looking more and more generic to me.
Garret is suppposed to be vaguely hawklike in appearance, but I end up associating him a lot with 'angelic' imagery (abiet subtly)... because it makes him look fucking epic without turning him into some kind of snivelling loser. If you know BL culture cliches you have to say the pretty winged ones are always getting it up the ass.

xD No, he got a grant to build his own gym because the government wanted to divert population to the area. Suffice to say, it has yet to work. It's... in the mountains somewhere. His gym may or may not be built into the side of a sheer rock face, just because he's an asshole and doesn't like people. It also saves him lots of money on badges, which he can then use to buy drugs.
Besides, bird gym leaders get no cred. Though no one knows about him, Garret is probably the only one who has enough ability to brag.
