Fei, after the events of Season 1, was revealed to be the grandson of the late Emperor Balthasar . After the murder of the triumvirs, Fei was given divine rule of Henhue by blood. However, naturally Fei was reluctant to take this responsibility. After all, he grew up in the country, he wanted a simple life, and he knew little to nothing about politics. Still, to honor the memory of his grandfather and his parents, he accepted and ascended to the Imperial throne.

He wasn’t thrown into a whirlwind of politics alone, fortunately. Kimahri remained his ally to help him ease into his new role. Syris, now allied with their ancient enemy, also lent a hand to help Fei. King Garland has been especially supportive. Knowing that Fei had to make the difficult decision to sacrifice Lenneth and Hrist , he sought to ease the guilt and burden upon the young man. Naturally, Dean Bugenhagen also helped Fei with his education. And over the past year, the young ninja has shown vast improvement. He learned quickly, and he had already gained rapport with the Henhuan people after saving the world and becoming one of the “Great Heroes” who defeated Parousia . Lastly, Godo himself moved back into the capital with his two other sons and his wife. Fei was not alone; he had his family and plenty of friends in high places at his back.

Despite all this, Fei has been feeling rather…lonely as of late. After the War ended, most of the main party split up and went their separate ways. Yuffie was still relatively close by in Phrellia, but Kimahri had returned to Fraughfield, taking over as president; Grahf had remained on Gedrir to live in his destroyed village; Squall vanished to Gods knew where; and of course Lenneth was…gone.

He ended up befriending someone unexpected in the downtime between reunions, which were almost always business-related—the Head Priestess of the Temple of Celes, Aeris . The two realized that, after all that had happened, they were actually very similar. They both had monumental responsibilities, but not the personalities and dreams to match. Aeris, too, had wanted to live a free, fun-filled life. However, where she was born dictated her fate from birth, and like Fei, she found she could not escape. Sharing this commonality, the two maintained contact over the past year, and since then have become close.

In FFC Fei uses a swallow (two-sided sword) in battle. Like the other ninja in his village, he also carries around shiruken. Fei's Element is Fire; thus, he is born under the sign of Locke. In his Cross Form, Fei's entire body erupts into flames (think Human Torch), he grows fangs, and his eyes hollow into two fiery furnaces. In Hyper Form Ifrit/Fei’s battle parameters are maxed, granting full immunity to Fire-based attacks…sometimes absorbing the Element.

Fei is originally from the RPG Xenogears, and he is voiced by my brother.
