Description (Alligator mississippiensis; Alligatoridae, Crocodilia)

The american alligator inhabits wetlands at southeatern USA. They are commonly found on fresh water, but are known to inhabits brackish waters too.
They are top predators, feeding on almost every vertebrate species present on their habitat.

It's a nice shot. It looks like the color balance could use a little adjustment.

I also think it could use some color adjustment, but when I tried to do so the photo seemed kind of artificial, so I decided to leave the way it was (these animals are on a place with dim lights, which doesn't help either...).
