Fanart of Shizuru Fujino, the one and only tea-drinking lesbian psycopath from Mai-Hime, with the octo-snake mecha Kiyohime based on the game version rather than the anime version (Haven't played the game, but I've seen some of the images and I just thought the game version looks better).Tried to do this in Painter with a more 'traditional' rather than 'CG' method as much as I could, although in the end it turns out as a bit of a mixed bag. But all in all I'm pretty happy with it...... for now.

Everyone has their own opinion. ^__^ Very true about the fanservice. But, hey, it does draw in viewers, and that is the point of the whole thing. Personally, I like the fanservice, but I also like the game style. It's all good to me. I do see your point, though. Sometimes, it's just vulgar.

Cool picture and I like the mech in the background. I just like the pic all around. Having said that I can't really comment on much else seeing as how I am not familiar with the anime or the game for that matter. Still it's a great pic that was done really well in which ever medium you used to create it.

How do their mechs work in there? They don't exactly look like they can fit. =/

It's more like a summon creature, so they summon their mech and fight alongside it rather than in it.
But the actual mech are bigger, the kiyohime you see in the bg are just its tentacles. (octo-snake as in octopus body, snake tentacles)
