*SPOILER WARNING*Not that big a spoiler, I guess. But just as I was losing interest in Mai Otome, they brought back Midori. As one of the bad guys, in a ninja-ish outfit wielding double katana. And she can summon Gakutenou (with a cooler summon sequence) and they fought Shizuru first up. I couldn't have asked for a better scenario.
Of course, knowing them they'll probably go back to the lacklustre Arica and co. for the next few episodes....

Midori was my favorite Hime in Mai-Hime, with Nao Yuuki (Juliet Nao Zhang), Shizuru and Natsuki.

I hate the Mai Otome Midori. She's fricking arrogant. The manga version I can bear with, and her Mai Hime is actually likable.

Midori was amazing in Mai Hime! I mean, next to Mai, she was my fave HiME, and then she appeared in Mai Otome as a bad guy (or so it seemed until later). Great fanart, btw! You always do such a great job!
