the dropships [link] are much better. I think I know why - battlecruisers aren't lit by the whole sky, only sunlight is visible. GI is too weak or clouds are too bright.
shaders... you made the same mistake I did in my textured models for SCLegacy: the metal looks like concrete. the texture is also totally random, lights are just "sticked" to ship's surface, no cuts or bolts or even symbols painted on it.
I like the model, though. the original SC design, ahh ;]

You have no idea that I merely whipped this up real quick for a friend of mine in less than 15 mins ;] I wanted to do a Battlecruiser scene but my BC was still naked. My dropship model is better textured because I spent more time on it. [link]
