I totally didn't mean to do this!

I know a few people were hoping that I'd draw some new Hey Arnold! fanart, which of course I wanted to do anyway. The only problem was that I had no idea what to draw, so I left it on the back-burner until I'd done a couple more Team Rocket fanart pieces.

This was the result of me randomly doodling. Most likely an idea that came from my last TR fanart with idea of cosplaying. I kinda liked how my doodle came out, so today I decided to scan it and finish it properly.

I wouldn't say that I drew Arnold and Helga to look like Jessie and James because I think that the characters are the same or anything like that. Although, I will say that Helga is one major tsundere! She picks on Arnold so much because she's crazy and thinks that's a good way to make sure that no one figures out that she's actually secretly in love with the boy. I guess since these two are made for each other, much like Jessie and James are made for each other, that can be counted as a similarity.

I could imagine that if Helga watched Pokemon and knew about Team Rocket, she might have a daydream and put herself and Arnold into the roles of Jessie and James because I mean, there's just something an air of romance about those villains.

Anyways, this is really just me combining two things that I really love and that have influenced me a lot from my childhood up to now. Both of these have brightened my life and inspired me with my art, helped me to improve. They have and always will have a special place in my heart. And yes, as corny as that sounds, it is true.
