Description

The Dwelves (or Dwelf, in singular) are half-elf, half dwarf. While not a common occurence, in the world of Aiers there are two places where this happened enough times to create not only some individuals of mixed parentage, but some small communities on their own.

The first -from which comes and is mostly applied the denomination- are the Dwelves of Gmonia, who were originaly descendants of Fairy -the Pygmy elves- and Gmonian dwarves. While how they came to be is discussed -and there being claims of very, very inhebriated gmonian dwarves, or the realisation of fertility rites for the Orchards and Gardens of Gmonia-, the dwelves first lived mostly among the Gmonian dwarves rather than the errant fairies. Dwelves then often, rather than to marry to other Gmonians, tended to form families with other Dwelves, estalishing first their own families, and then farms and clans, with some villages of dwelves spotting the province of Gmonia.

The second group where this happened with some frecuency was the Dvergralfar, from Winterfrost. As both dwarves (dvergr) and snow elves (SnΓΆΓ€lvor) served the Lord of the North of Winterfrost, it wasn't unheard for such unions to happen, but often the Dvergralfar, when reaching adulthood, would instead decide to follow the traditions, culture and life of one of their parents, rather than to continue to be considered of mixed parentage.

In other parts of Aiers, such relations where much more infrequent.

Other nicknames for such half-elf, half dwarf was Elwarf or Erf, or sometimes humans just called them on regarding to their size, about half of a man.
