An I ce Elf noble warrior, skiing on the edges of his holds. Ice Elves -or Anqueael- where a kind of Dark Elf, who had some cultural antagonism to the Snow Elves -or Snöälvor-.

The Ice Elves were native of northern Hieyoks and founded many City-States and rose to prominence after they defeated the Hieyoks Icea Giants -from who comes the name of the continent-.

Enemies of the Ice Giants and their servants, the Ice elves where determined people, and distrustful from Foreigners.

The Ice Giants, who failed to defeat the Ice Elves militarily -but kept trying-, attempted then other sort of policies, such as attempted diplomatic integration via marriages and political alliances -which would be the origin of the half-elf, half giants called the Trelkas.

This piece was inspired by the work Warrior on Skis by Danish artist Kay Rasmus Nielsen, 1914. Illustration from the fairy tale book "East of the Sun and West of the Moon" by Norwegian folklorists Peter Christen Asbjørnsen and Jørgen Engebretsen Moe.

Unrelated, I hate, HATE the secret limit of dA of a maximum of 5,000 drawings in a folder. I had drawn dozens (about 84 drawings) of drawing in november, but because each time I post in deviantArt I have to shuffle things around, so I only posted 16 things in whole november.

I have been posting more of these other things in other media, without that limit. Or with other secret limits.
