Dark-Eyed Honey baby gerbil. It's eyes had just opened that day.The runt died at fuzzy stage. The male DEH got a respiratory infection as a young adult and despite treatment, died. Everyone else found a new home.

It's a comment on how it always gets worse - at least for me it does. Just when I make the best of things, the sky opens and a voice booms, "FUCK YOU!!" It always happens before I can cover the damned glass.
Thanks. Actually gerbils are reasonably clean especially compared to hamsters. They're desert creatures so their bodies are very efficient.
