I did this a while ago for Nuzlocke Forums "Draw Every Pokemon" project but didn't submit it here, only tumblr and the forums, and I don't even know why. I like this myself so why not. On the other hand, I don't want to spam you with all of my speedpaints but since I haven't submitted anything in a while I guess it's okay.Milotic is a freaking cool Pokemon. Ridiculously hard to get but worth it. And it's a sea serpent.
I experimented with the colours a little and I like how the sky turned out.

I think if any work can make use of the less is more clause to make milotic shine, this would be it. You've made me love milotic more by painting just its front, back and middle than I usually have seeing it in full. There's some real character you've given it half-hidden in the waves, giving the sense of a mysterious sea beast which never is truly within reach - something quite true of milotic itself. The omission of visible eyes and the fact that the perspective leaves much of the visible side in shadow just adds to the mystique. Really well done scales and tail, and that looping coil arching out of the water like one of those tires half buried in the cement lined up to form a sea serpent is really engaging. The circular shape almost imitates the curve of a crashing wave, suggesting stormy seas as this creature summons a rainstorm. Speaking of waves, the water here looks excellent, and what can I say of the sky and clouds more than, "Brilliant!"?

I'm still very fond of this piece, even if it's quite old now. I've always found Milotic's mystic nature especially fascinating so it's very nice to hear you think I've managed to capture it here.
I've been planning to draw Milotic more, maybe one day I'll get to do an idea or two I've had for some time.

I also remember the first time I was hunting for a Feebas. So many hours of work. But it was worth it in the end. Milotic is amazing.

yea.... it can be hours of work in ruby.... and like... 15 mins in white... really easy to catch there <_<
i'm trying to breed a shiny one now in white.... lazily trying though....

Yeah, and you can even get a Milotic from the water if you're lucky enough. No such luxury in the older games. And in Sinnoh it's even harder.
Ooh, shiny Milotic is really pretty. Good luck with the breeding! I don't know if I'd have patience for that. Maybe if I could use the Masuda method...

This is so beautiful and so very powerful. The pose of the milotic, the color of the ocean, the rain effect... it's too awesome for words. I literally stared at this for 5 minutes with my jaw dropped and my eye's watery. I love this so very much!

I remember the day I finally caught a Feebas. Dang fish took me forever to find. And since I was playing Emerald, I had to work on its beauty rating meaning a lot of pokeblock trial and error to get her beauty up and testing which was enough and raised its level. So worth it in the end for the graceful counterpart to Gyarados.

The story of my first Milotic is pretty much the same. I think I spent an hour or two trying to find the spot, and when I found it, I fished a boxfull of Feebas. I then picked one that had the most beneficial nature so it would get the most of the Pokeblocks. I loved my Milotic, and I'm pretty sad the game got corrupted. :/
