It is supposed to be Princess Peach, but I'm not that good with drawing the Nintendos. *Sega Kid*

Princess Peach is the princess of Mushroom Kingdom, you know Mario, right?

I am pretty excited about this game. I mean sure it's going to be a very new experience for a modern Sonic game, but I think that is something to look forward to. I am actually liking what I'm seeing so far with the characters and gameplay style, and it kind of makes me laugh that people are already trying to hate on it before it is even out, yet. People tend to be so quick to judge. XD
Otherwise, I completely agree with you. It's not fair that the people who play 3DU have to play a different story than the WiiU people. I mean, we understand they want you to get the WiiU but come on. That's not fair. o^o

Speaking of a new experience, Sonic games constantly have a drastic change in gameplay and story.
After all, at the beginning of the 3D era, we were having a more standard 3D type of gameplay with lots of exploration and the ability to move wherever you want, then we got the Unleashed/ Colors type of gameplay, where Sonic can't do anything but run straight forward. So, I don't know why fans are upset about the possibility of the gameplay changing to what's essentially Adventure/ Sonic Heroes type gameplay (I personally like Heroes' gameplay except for the fact you had to play the game 4 times to beat it, essentially).
And story wise, even though this is taking place in an alternate universe, the same could be said about the main games. I mean, Sonic Unleashed has barely anything to do with, say Sonic Adventure for as much as I remember. Heck, Sonic's story outside of the Adventure games (and '06) is pretty minimal to begin with. xD
So as long as the character portrayal is spot on, I'll be fine no matter how different the world is. ^^
(However, a great story is always welcome. And Sonic Boom seems to deliver on that, too.)
Although I'm still bummed out that the 3DS game's premise is to rescue the damsel in distress. But the handheld games that come out together with a console game never really had that much of a story to begin with *points at Colors for the DS*
Well, better to hate something at first but then finding out that it's better than expected, rather than having high hopes and being disappointed afterwards.
But I'd still rather have high hopes and NOT be disappointed, so I'm hoping for that.
It's really weird, too, since they are essentially making two different games with the same premise. Heck, not even, just the same base world!
Wouldn't it bring more money if they just released Rise of Lyric for both the 3DS AND the WiiU and, like, (half) a year later the other game, also for both consoles (or the other way around)?
After all, both the 3DS and the WiiU are Nintendo systems, so, whatever programming language is used for these systems, it should be the same, right? Except for a couple of system specific stuff like the 3DS's 3D features.
And also, Sonic, ESPECIALLY a new universe, won't be big enough to convince anyone to buy a console, right? (If at all, Smash 4 will bring people to buy a WiiU once that's out. Unless releasing that game also on the 3DS, and releasing that version EARLIER at that, brings people to neglect the WiiU version.)
So, people who only have one of the two consoles will only buy one game instead of both, meaning less games being sold overall.
Then again, I'm no marketing expert, so what do I know. xD
Still, I'm really looking forward to the games. ^^

While I don't really like some of the character designs (and the general landscape design shown in some of the trailers), I have high hopes in the TV show, since it seems to be fairly funny, and the Wii U game. And the 3DS game seems to be Sonic Rush styled, so I expect it to be good, too.
While I do enjoy the recent Sonic gameplay, I really want to play a 3D Sonic with a gameplay style of the earlier 3D Sonic games (Adventure 1 & 2, Heroes, ...)
Whether or not it's really as good as the fans hope it to be, we'll see once it's out. But I'm fairly certain that it won't be as bad as Sonic Lost World. xD;

Dude, they said the humor is going to be like Teen Titans GO...I think that's a sure sign that it's going to suck. :/ I HATE that show. No seriousness, too much slapstick, mockery of the old show (although that last thing probably won't also apply to Sonic Boom.)...I do hope it won't be as bad as I think it will be, but from what I've seen it doesn't look promising.
