Description Forgive the huge full image size this piece is HUGE!

Final image size 5" x 16"

The Peacock Cypher is a sampler design from Just Nan, it's been stitched on 28 count Natural Brown Linen over two threads. I used two shades of peacock silk for this design, 1725 and 1726 from Au Ver A Solie, and two additional types of silk thread, Soie Perlee and Soie 100/3 in 710 (which is the same shade as 1726) also from Au Ver A Solie. The piece is also accented with a enameled peacock bead and tiny peacock AB sead beads.

The title "Peacock Cypher" comes from the four lines of code in the design, one letter used 35 times will crack the code, if you can't read the code very well here it is;

LTTHNDLSTTHLTTRS
SKTHVRSTHNNVRTLL
WHRTHSCRTLTTRSFLL
CLVRNDLRSPRSVR

And NO I will not post the solution!

*nods* Stitching with Silk after years of Cotton was a wake up call they don't behave the same way at all!

I just finished the last tin in the Just Nan 2008 Series...about to start the last accessory and now have another sampler in the wings.

Are we insane or what?

So much string but not enough cavnas, or clothing for that matter. Or Window screen. Cross stitching on window screens is rather fun and fairly cheap way to repair it.

LOL that is a sneeky way to repair it.

I've gotten addicted to the larger count fabrics and sewing over two threads, and I have found a shop that stocks the high count linens in every possible shade...help?
