Description And the last of the 4 is completed! Chart by Lavender and Lace

Started- 9/29/2014
Completed- 12/20/2014

It was my goal to at least complete the 4 Celtic Seasons in one year.  I started the first (Celtic Spring) 12/26/2013 and made it with only a few days to spare.  I'm gonna take a bit of a break before I start on the 5th one, Celtic Christmas...

If anybody has seen the photo packaged with this chart may be wondering why I changed some of the colors when sewing this one, the truth is I didn't!  How you see this piece is using the exact same colors as listed on the chart and the recommended linen.  The photo that is packaged with the chart isn't a picture of the final sewn piece, but a computer generated replica overlaid over a fabric background and is very different from the ACTUAL finished piece.  Very annoying when you think about how long it takes to make one of these ladies!

Supplies-
28 Count Smoky Pearl linen stitched over 2 threads, Treasure Braid (gold) and Wisper Thread (muff/crown) from the Rainbow Gallery, Mill Hill beads. DMC Floss

Oh, I remember those patterns!  It's so nice to see someone's done all four!

Hey, familiar sight! I finished this pretty lady as well about two weeks ago (though she is yet to be a secret birthday gift- so no DA posting!)!

I did not realise that these Celtic ladies had THAT MANY beads in the pattern until I had to stitch them on myself. My hat off to you for finishing all four of them - I would have lost my temper at the second probably.

I still have Celtic Christmas to go .... gods am I insane....

And to be honest Winter has the LEAST amount of beads of all 4 ladies, I think it was a toss up between Spring or Autumn on the most beads since I nearly used up at least 2 of the bead packs on those

For me the hardest part was the Wisper thread...it was the devil to pull through the fabric (1 strand of floss and 2 strands of Wisper) ye gods.

I feel your pain on that one, deeply. That Whisper thread....good heavens. I ended up just tossing out the one strand of floss and simply use the double Whisper thread. The agony got a little too much for me. And I did not see that much difference in the end result, not enough to be noticeable. Yay for cheating!

Note to self : Let's not do the other ladies, just yet.

I think I will just enjoy looking at yours instead! Because they are all really gorgeous to look at! And now to eagerly await your Lady Noel.

If you do decide to do the others, read my notes on Summer and Autumn since you can't get all the Needlepaint thread colors anymore and have to use subs to finish the designs.

Congrats on finishing. It's lovely, even if it doesn't look like the photo with the package .
