I absolutely love the picture of Buddy in that first panel. I think the disheveled hair style goes much better with the large shape of his head. You keep getting better and better at coloring too, which is starting to make me REALLY jealous. I keep hoping that someday I'll surpass you in art but I have a feeling that it's going to take me a while.... TT.TT

That makes a lot of sense, actually. *nods, rubbing chin* Your sense of timing is probably a lot better than mine for the same reason, as well.
SQUEE! Sweet awesomeness of doom! And is it alright if I post an art link on my ff bio, to your stories and my pics? So that they're together?

Awesome job! ^^ I really like his expression, it's just so sad but cute at the same time. I also like how you show Buddy and Syndrome are two different entities living in the same mind. This is a dynamic I'd never thought of before... I didn't peg Buddy for the suicidal type. Or at least that's what I can gather from the picture... maybe that's not the case. It's cool anyway. This pic really makes me want to read the fan fic, and so I shall, soon.
Also, his hair style is adorable. It's a little strange in the lower panel, feels like the emo fwip, but the top panel is perfect.
Please keep drawing more soon ^^.

Well, sometimes with fanfiction he's written up as being just vindictive and spiteful, and other times he's shown as merely having a Bipolar personality, which makes sense to a certain point. And then there are those instances in which fanfiction authors indicate that it's possible that he has dissociative identity disorder, in which he's stored his feelings of anger and betrayal into a persona that's superior to his normal "Buddy" self.
I'm guessing it's this latter one Pegasus is going for. *nods*
He's not suicidal, he's just dying. *shrugs* You have to read the fic to understand what's going on, but it's basically that crashing into the turbine was too much for him, and his body is systematically shutting down for unknown reasons.
XD I know. I really hate his hair in the last panel, but...well, I didn't know what to do with it. She described his hair as being unkempt and, "just sort of...there." So I tried to work with the description as best possible. Regretably it only worked halfway. I'm glad you like the top panel, though.

Yes, now that I think about it, I believe I've seen the summary for the fan fic while I was poking around on ff.net. I wasn't sure whether or not I was interested at the time, but after seeing this pic, I think I've been sold.
On your drawing, I'm not much of an artist so I don't know the stages you guys go through, but I personally think that you have an easier time with close ups than distance shots. That's probably why it didn't quite come up to snuff in the last panel for you, at least from what I've gathered. Just keep practicing ^^, I can't see what it would hurt.

That's actually quite true. I'm an Illustration major in real life, but I specialize in people, portraits, and full-body poses. Landscapes have never been my forte, and while I do like a still-life every now and again, they're not exactly my cup of herbal tea.
Still, thank you for the encouragment--it's definitely true, and you have really good eyes to see that. Most people either don't notice, or don't say anything, so I'm glad you spoke up. =^__^=

I'm accustomed to critiques, so they're always welcome. Especially when they're well-thought out. If it's a case of, "this sucks! You're a freak for liking this pairing," then that's a whole different matter entirely. *laughs*
But no, I appreciate hearing what you have to say, especially as your intent is aimed at helping me get better.
