Description Art trade for Pegasuscrystal39 [link] , from her story "When the Day Met the Night," [link] .

My favorite part in the fanfic is when they're first reacting to one another, not knowing each other's identy. So I decided to draw that scene.

I didn't expect for it to cause so many problems, though. ^__^;; Man, I officially hate trees. I really love how their features came out in the short panels, but the trees and underbrush...*sighs and shakes head* I tried, really I did.

On a side note, however, if you wish to find out what happens in the last panel, and after that...go read the fanfic.

(Syndrome and Violet belong to the Mouse in Red and the bouncing Lamp. No profit is being made from it-it's just to make a friend smile.)

I absolutely love the picture of Buddy in that first panel. I think the disheveled hair style goes much better with the large shape of his head. You keep getting better and better at coloring too, which is starting to make me REALLY jealous. I keep hoping that someday I'll surpass you in art but I have a feeling that it's going to take me a while.... TT.TT

Pshaw kiddo, I think you're giving me too much credit. After all, I've said time and time again that if I had been as good at your age as you are, then I would be ten times as good at mine. You're gonna be great, Sis, don't sweat the small stuff or get frustrated in the 'now' of everything. *hugs*

I totally agree with you on the hair! I love how it flips over his face, and if I hadn't already designed him as having slightly slicked back hair in my new fanfic, I would have gone back and chosen this instead. =^__^=

I'm glad you like it--especially when it comes to the first panel.

OHHH MY. This is much more awesomer than I expected. Not that I didn't expect awesome, but this is awesomer than awesome. In fact, it's superwonderfulawesomesplendiferoustastic. XD

I absolutely love his expression, it captures the mood really well, and the usage of different fonts and colors for both Syndrome and Buddy. And I'm loving that hair. I hadn't thought about how he'd have it styled, honestly. So now this shall be my reference. Feel proud. XD

I don't know if you can imagine the size of the grin on my face, but it's huge, just so you know.

This is... well worth the wait.

YAY! I'm glad you're happy! Especially since I feel really, really, really, really, really bad about taking as long as I did. XD Especially when you created the AMV so quickly (I envy your ninja skills).

I'm glad you like his expression-it's my favorite part in the whole scene! And with his hair, I'm kind of glad you described it the way you did, because it gave me the chance to play with it.

SWEET AWESOMENESS, BATMAN! I get a link! *does her happy dance*

It was totally and completely worth the wait, though. And I just do that with AMVs. It's easy for me to get them done quickly. Maybe it's the fact that I associate better with music. XD This is seriously splendiferous, though. I love it.

Of course you get a link! Did you expect this awesomeness to go unacknowledged? XD Of course not! I even posted a little note at the end of Chapter 1 to go check the profile. XD

That makes a lot of sense, actually. *nods, rubbing chin* Your sense of timing is probably a lot better than mine for the same reason, as well.

SQUEE! Sweet awesomeness of doom! And is it alright if I post an art link on my ff bio, to your stories and my pics? So that they're together?

That would be most ultra-splendiferous! Of course you could do that!

Awesome job! ^^ I really like his expression, it's just so sad but cute at the same time. I also like how you show Buddy and Syndrome are two different entities living in the same mind. This is a dynamic I'd never thought of before... I didn't peg Buddy for the suicidal type. Or at least that's what I can gather from the picture... maybe that's not the case. It's cool anyway. This pic really makes me want to read the fan fic, and so I shall, soon.

Also, his hair style is adorable. It's a little strange in the lower panel, feels like the emo fwip, but the top panel is perfect.

Please keep drawing more soon ^^.

Well, sometimes with fanfiction he's written up as being just vindictive and spiteful, and other times he's shown as merely having a Bipolar personality, which makes sense to a certain point. And then there are those instances in which fanfiction authors indicate that it's possible that he has dissociative identity disorder, in which he's stored his feelings of anger and betrayal into a persona that's superior to his normal "Buddy" self.

I'm guessing it's this latter one Pegasus is going for. *nods*

He's not suicidal, he's just dying. *shrugs* You have to read the fic to understand what's going on, but it's basically that crashing into the turbine was too much for him, and his body is systematically shutting down for unknown reasons.

XD I know. I really hate his hair in the last panel, but...well, I didn't know what to do with it. She described his hair as being unkempt and, "just sort of...there." So I tried to work with the description as best possible. Regretably it only worked halfway. I'm glad you like the top panel, though.

Yes, now that I think about it, I believe I've seen the summary for the fan fic while I was poking around on ff.net. I wasn't sure whether or not I was interested at the time, but after seeing this pic, I think I've been sold.

On your drawing, I'm not much of an artist so I don't know the stages you guys go through, but I personally think that you have an easier time with close ups than distance shots. That's probably why it didn't quite come up to snuff in the last panel for you, at least from what I've gathered. Just keep practicing ^^, I can't see what it would hurt.

That's actually quite true. I'm an Illustration major in real life, but I specialize in people, portraits, and full-body poses. Landscapes have never been my forte, and while I do like a still-life every now and again, they're not exactly my cup of herbal tea.

Still, thank you for the encouragment--it's definitely true, and you have really good eyes to see that. Most people either don't notice, or don't say anything, so I'm glad you spoke up. =^__^=

You're quite welcome, and reciprically thank you for appreciating my critique, it helps encourage me to continue sharing my opinion on other people's work too ^^.

I'm accustomed to critiques, so they're always welcome. Especially when they're well-thought out. If it's a case of, "this sucks! You're a freak for liking this pairing," then that's a whole different matter entirely. *laughs*

But no, I appreciate hearing what you have to say, especially as your intent is aimed at helping me get better.
