Description Necreshaw page 24. The beginning of Chap 2

For NEXT PAGE

This is the beginning of chapter two. It might start a little slow but it picks up quickly. My original script was about 350 pages long for Necreshaw, but that was before we had our magazine going. It was centered on these college kids going to a victory game party where disaster breaks out. I had decided to scrap that script and center the story mid-way with Jason and Diane, who where actually side characters at the time. Now the college kids are the side story, but they do still tie in with overall plot, so I couldn't scrap it completely.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy the second chapter to Necreshaw. I must warn that it will be a bit more graphic and gory than the first, but it does start off a little bit more slowly, since this was after all, the original beginning to Necreshaw.

Thanks everybody for your patience. It took me awhile to create some of the new sets and characters, but they're all done and ready to go. So I hope you enjoy.

That's cool. I was hoping for Kaitlyn to have a frisky look with her hair since she's a party girl, but it took me forever to get it right. I'll probably be cloning her hair in every shot from this point on. I think I'm too lazy to redraw this.

Very cool. The one thing that I would suggest is getting better fonts. It looks a bit bland as it is. The fonts sort of flatten the art.
Check out blambot.com. They have a lot of free and cheap fonts. Give that a shot.

They are where I go. The frees are only pay if you are printed by like Marvel, DC, Image, Dark Horse. Do we are set. Even then the prices are good.

Ah! I almost missed this in my inbox, I've been away so long last week! Nice transition, and I still say your comic is amazing! Wonderful dialogue, it seems very natural, and not forced. I just purchased the Poser 8 program, and I have a WHOLE new appreciation for what you do! It's actually very difficult to learn and everytime I initialize a skeleton pose of just the barebones, the legs get twisted in awkward directions and such or the character sinks into the Z-axis grid and other such oddities! So, you REALLY put in a lot of time and effort in this! It is phenomenal, Ted! Kudos to you!

Shallon4000 In reply to RCopeland-AiijuinArt [2010-03-29 16:15:15 +0000 UTC]

Thanks Rebekah. Poser 8 is a monster! I have Poser 7, but am still using the Poser 4 for it's rendering speed.

The leg problems can be fixed by going to your 'Figure' file and clicking off the 'Inverse Kinematics' option. Just make certain that you are on the figure and not the clothing, otherwise the problem will remain. At least, this is the Poser 4 way of fixing things. Again, Poser 8 is a monster. You should have plenty fun though, when you learn it.

You're right, it really is a bear! I'm pretty good with figuring things out, but wow! This is like sheer torture. I've been trying to render something, but everytime I move my mouse/tablet over the Preview screen, everything turns black and I can figure out what I'm clicking on until I've clicked on it. (Like trying to manuever fingers and such. I'm not sure what that means, and have tried clicking and unclicking everything to stop this 'blind moving of body parts', it might be an issue with Windows 7 and 64 bit processor thingy. (Nothing compats with Windows 7, does it?)

But THANK YOU for the advice on the inverse kinematics. It worked! I'm not getting twisty body limbs, which really had me aggrivated at first. Hope all is well, and I'm finally getting caught up on drawing projects here... Actually I have one Major art project due tommorrow, then, I'm clear again. Have a wonderful week, Ted!
THANK YOU AGAIN!

That one has me puzzled too. You're probably right about the 64 bit differences. I know a few other people who have complained about the new compatibility problems as well. I guess I kind of lucked out on this one by having an old computer along with some old software, most of the kinks are already fixed. I know on Youtube they have a few videos on how to do things for the newer Poser programs. Maybe somebody has posted something on how to fix this problem there. Anyway, I hope it turns out to be something easy to fix. I know how frustrating computers can be at times.

Thanks again Rebekah. I hope you have a great week too!

RCopeland-AiijuinArt In reply to Shallon4000 [2010-04-11 17:21:54 +0000 UTC]

No! Thank You, Ted! I really appreciate the time you spent to answer me back. I'm going to wait until I have more time to touch on the problem in mid-May, Early June. I'll have more free time then. (I hope) But as we are both extrememly busy artists with high demands on both of us, I am very greatful that you even take the time to write back at all. I will learn it (Poser), but like all other programs it just takes time and patience. Even in college, they don't really teach an art program as well as just opening it up and learning it on one's own. I can do this, but it may be a year or so before you see work coming fromme with Poser. I just want to keep track of the things I have on my slate currently, and finish SGRE, continue Crossover, and then... then I'll work my way into Poser and the other animation programs I have.
(Afterall, it did take tons of time before I began using Photoshop without my comicworks deleter program - which was also only configured with Windows XP and was outdated for what it was made for) When I had to upgrade to Vista, and then Windows 7, I made the adjustment quickly. I'm sure Smith-Micro will have a 64-bit update soon with Poser8. I'm still not sure why Windows 7 had to go and make it so darned difficult to compat with anything PC related. THANKS AGAIN!

Shallon4000 In reply to DarwinsDomain [2010-03-26 14:48:44 +0000 UTC]

Well it's supposed to be an 'after game' party. Their college football team finally won their first game in three years so all the kids want to have a secret party at an abandoned factory. The town has a curfew due to all the disappearances which is why a lot of kids are taking careless routes to stay out of site.

In the original script, I had the game involved, but have edited it out. But in a few pages it does explain what's going on. They also find out that the factory is quite 'operational'!

And besides that, it'd be 'sin' to edit out the cheerleaders!

LMAO! That would go against the horror code of ethics wouldn't it? LOL!

Your idea makes sense, I was just thinking teens these days wouldn't be seen dead in their uniforms if they had a choice...but Glee may be changing that attitude some!
