What would Johnny on a historic painting look like?Maybe something like that. I used the "Portrait d'Armand Ono" by Jean-Francois Millet from 1843 for reference and added an improvised version of Johnny's face.

Well they look like Ray Bans. Oh well, still not 1843 style glasses. Would be interesting to see him wear some old sort, perhaps a monocle?

I pretty sure the glasses are made by Tart Optical ([link] ). But anyway: Of couse you're right that he glasses do not really fit. I think I'll do some more 'historical' paintings in the future and maybe I'll do one with some really old glasses.

I had something like that in mind. I moving through different art periods. After that one here I've already done an Art Deco version and one in Pop Art style. But I have to say that I enjoy more doing something really 'old school'. That's why 19th century sounds good!
