Description The Special Application Pistol or 'Lint' (a code name) is a compact silenced concealed pistol. Simple to the point of being crude, the Lint is almost entirely made out of thermoplastics with thermofiber reinforced sections and a carbon fiber reinforced thermoplastic smooth bore barrel. Unlike many Single shot military pocket pistols (the 'Liberator', and the CIA's Deer gun) the Lint has a round extractor which assists in removing the spent rounds case upon cocking the rear lever. It also carries not only 3 extra rounds in a compact fixed magazine, containing small index markers to let the user see how many rounds he has left from the outside. reloading is sadly not capable in the field, as the side cover must be removed and the magazine housing removed to reload it. the Cocking lever also acts as the means of extracting a spent round, and re chambering a new round from the magazine, as well as the weapons primary drop safety.

The SAPs bullets are based on the infamous Russian SP-3 Silenced cartridge only slightly smaller to better accommodate the designs compact size. 7.3x33mm with its case, primer and pistons constructed entirely in high strength polymers including a non mercury/non-metallic based primer material (Diazodinitrophenol). The bullet is composed pf a classified mix of non-ferrous, non magnetic metals and polymer powder compressed to form a fairly dense projectile with a spitzer point that is designed to fragment upon impact with a solid plate but penetrate most clothing (not armor). This projectile and case are designed to allow the entirely non-magnetic weapon to pass on ones person through a metal detector undetected. The round itself is semi-necked as most 'silent' rounds are, however the bullet is fully seated in the case and the top is sealed with a polymer water proof seal. This is designed to prevent chemical 'sniffers' from detecting an unfired weapon, however its profile will show quite distinctive on a modern X-ray machine.

Sights are very plain being little more than a raised rib of plastic, and the shooters training. the 'trigger' is actually a thumb stud that releases the striker which is cocked upon loading the weapon. Safety is provided by pressure on the cocking lever/breech access. Instructions are engraved on the side, and the weapon contains no origin markings making it essentially 'tactically sterile' so as to prevent recuperations against the issuing country.

The shooting stance is the same as with a full size pistol with both hands being used to secure the weapon though one mast learn to fire the weapon with ones thumb instead of the more instinctive 'trigger'. Experienced operators can operate it in a number of ways ranging from side squeezes (car fob style) to 'lemon squeezer' means depending on what the operation calls for. Back home the weapon is considered notorious as it has been labeled an assassins pistol, and though it has been used as such more often then not its carried as a last ditch defensive pistol by military personnel serving overseas. The only accessory available is a long wrist lanyard which attaches via the cut out in the forefinger guard allowing for easier 'off-hand' use and retention.

EDIT: Updated with proper write up.

Cool concept and design. Why put sights on a smooth bore pistol though?

When making a super-concealable tiny single shot weapon, why add more rounds? Removing the extra rounds not only cuts down size according to the rounds, but you can remove the lights regarding the remaining ammunition, the engraving on how to work, and the re-cocking mechanism inside. It just seems contrary to the idea behind it...

Because sometimes you have to shoot the guy more than once in the head to make certain that he is well and truly dead.

Considering its a smooth bore silenced weapon for use in survival situations (more so than just 'Ha! I have a pistol!' one cannot rely only on a single round all the time. Considering its limited sight radius unless the range is exceedingly short it may take more than one round to hit the target, it also allows its use in hunting small game (if all you have is a single shot for self defense and hunting you'd be quite picky of its use) Those aren't lights by the way, its just a painted piece of metal that rises with the magazine follower.

And the engraving is for its uses is similar to the CIA 'Deer gun' of the early cold war era, it allows instruction and operation of the weapon anywhere regardless of language barriers.

Some of your thoughts are scary. Neat! But scary.

Pretty soon we'll be required to be naked when we fly.

That might make it more interesting, it could also be a lot worse >.>
