How long do you let the leather boil? Do you drop it in or let it soak first?

try using vinyl it is the cheapest fake leather you can get and when making the fake armor with vinyl try to make a base to work on, i use a brown t shirt you can also use poster board. it also helps to layer the vinyl on with hotglue here is a picture of my fake leather armor i made it's up for sale for 10 dollars on craigslist

This is amazing!

I was wondering, do you take costume commissions? I'm interested in a leather costume and I was wondering if you took commissions.

Amazing armor, I wish I was at this skill level in leatherworking (I am trying hard to get there!)
The design really suits elves, great tooling pattern, I love how it flows all over the piece.
Also I love how the sharpness of some parts gives it a bit of an edge, not your typical flowery prancing elfy, but a warrior!

this is very beautiful and flowing, I think you captured perfectly the image most of us have of elven armor.

Great work...might look better, if the embossing would be highlighted silver or gold.

I really like the overall look of this piece. The shape of the pieces and the contours of the embossing complement each other for a better design unlike some harnesses I've seen where the shape is pretty generic and the tooling seems to be an afterthought. This looks like both tooling and shape were planned together. I also like the fact that this has tassets! A very cool addition, and again, not something one sees often in leather armor.

Well done. sir.
