I've never been a big fan of the whole "armoured space-suits" ceoncept. They've always appeared too bulky to me. If I'm in a combat situation I'd like as much flexibility as possible, mostly so I can duck out of enemy fire more quickly.

Lay it on me, i know you draw robots and mecha stuff way better than i do xOx. This sheet will probably not change but know advice for future things will be invaluable!

Some plates overlap too much in articulation places (shoulders and hands in the mechanized suit), making the movement difficult.
The psyker armor is better, and has more mobility.
For building bulkier armors, think first in a under armor, and then, place plates following the range of movements permitted by the under armor.

Hmm I tried to give them larger gaps so they could move more but I think i see what you mean. I have a hard time figure out where to put plates cause when i look at other designs they look just as clunky? I don't know, i'm so bad at this T_T

Some clunky designs have some weird muscular people underneath, like the Space Marines from Warhammer 40.000. A good source of inspiration for making clunky amrmor, is the Starcraft II trailer with the marine, I think.

XFD~~ I'll look it up. It's rare to see um.. game models where the armor actually works sometimes, because they are just skins sometimes they don't even bother to make the joints right since it'll just move with the skin anyway >_<

This one:

Doesn't have the problem of skins and unreal movements since is a CGI Cinematic, but I think is a good example of moving overlaping parts, and a under-armor or frame.
