Well, this idea popped into my head after watching some new Monster Hunter 3 videos. I just had this urge to draw a little silly comic. In the end it took way longer than I wanted XD But I might make a little mini-series based on this xPDarn those Khezu whelps for being so darn cute and latching onto people XD

Hah yeah I remember my first time playing Monster Hunter 3 tri meeting their cousins those slugs are like
"oh My god what are these!?" because I didn't see them at all only that I saw my health drop by some unknown creature.
They look like blood slugs. It was a good idea indeed Shawnzy to draw this they are actually as you said a bit cute indeed. :smile:

This was drawn and the description was made before even their Japanese names were revealed. So back then everyone thought they were khezu whelps. I was just too lazy to change it.

i wonder what they'll replace khezu whelp item with (the one you mine daora) if htey replace it
why does he have a scar? is that a new feature or something or just a personal touch?

I'm sure the old khezu whelp item won't be in the game anymore, really no need for it.
And he has scars for multiple reasons, one is certainly a personal touch, I like my guy characters to have facial scars, cause I think they're badass lol. And two, in reality people in their line of work wouldn't be all pretty anyways. Cuts, burns, bruises, etc. They hunt giant monsters XD Of course they're gonna get messed up lol.
And personally, the new monsters we have seen, look amazing. I love them so far, and I can't wait to see all the other new ones that we know about in game, cause some of them look like they'll be pretty sweet.

true but they used to rpesent a challenge like killing a kusha without dieing whilst having a khezu whelp with you so i hope they do replace it with something even though it was a worthless item.#
well it looks good and i always wandered why they didn't have scaring in MH because as you said They're hunting huge monsters they're definately going to atleast get scratched, right?
they do look amazing, im excited about the new "blangonga" (the ice tiger or something) it looks like a hard kill but i dont want to ever go in the water if it has angler fish and sharks D: im scared of those sort of things cause they always seem to make them REALLY scary in games xD
