I liked the composition and the contrast between young and old rolling stock. I'm not sure whether or not I should have submitted some other shots from my latest tour: [link]

I choose right one Yes, the left one looks more than pretty. But "oldschool" design of BΓΌgelfalte is more attractive for me.

By the way I'm not shure that it is that model but modification that called Siemens Velaro Rus "Sapsan" in number of 8 Russia will recieved in this and next years. If you interested you may check this catalogue: [link]

Hehe, everyone seems to go for the oldschool machine, me included.

You're right, the train itself is the Siemens Velaro, though here of course it's branded as ICE (DB class 403).

Indeed she has! I've devoted an entire folder just to this class: [link]

I don't know about MTS, but since it's a rather famous German engine, I'd assume one could find it.

Thanks!

Though I admit, I really disliked the lighting, probably because the left sides of both trains are rather dark. But one can't always have the sun from behind

Das Design ist schon recht zeitlos, im Vergleich zu den eher langweiligen Loks die heute fahren... Wobei der Taurus noch ganz gut aussieht, verglichen mit dem TRAXX Einheitsbrei...

great shot, new vs. old! I always go for old

Indeed, oldschool normally also means long lasting, I doubt that new trains or engines will be in service for as long as these old girls

Thanks very much for looking, I put one up where the driver is cleaning his engine due to the man & machine theme, I'll see about the others.
