i thought so and with wood you hardly can do anything wrong.it's the only material i think can be used in models to represent the 'real' material.all other materials quickly look fake and messy when using in models but wood keeps it's strength!that's why we are only allowed to use plain white cardboard or wood in our models at school, although you will find my first models to be made with material-suggesting textures as well but hey... i had to learn it to

same here my first model also has textures and stuff, although it somehow suits the design. at university we are also only allowed to use plain materials
