Description For some reason I find this mildly embarassing... *shakes it off* Nevermind, I don't care.

This actually started from my sudden curiousity one day of what a victorian man would consider as proper underwear. I looked it up, and apperently they're pretty much just long shorts! For some reason I then felt the need to draw a victorian man in said garment. Sherlock didn't so much volunteer as was comandeered for the task. When coming up with an appropriate senario in which poor Sherlock Holmes might find himself nearly naked with his Watson (cause I suddenly wanted to draw him too, and I don't really ship them), the only thing that really came up was medical reasons XDD
...Also I'm a little morbid and like to be occasionally cruel to fictional characters... *cough*

Ya, so I've had this mostly finished for a while, but this evening I was suddenly filled with an enthusiasm for drawing chaise longues, and so I went with it.

Do note, by the way, that I didn't draw his drawers with historical accuracy, as I do love drawing torsos. I rarely depict scenes where I can indulge myself in drawing Sherlock's skrawny frame, so I couldn't bring myself to add the proper amount of cloth. The waistline should actually cover his bellybutton

Well, if you think about it, it only makes sense that Watson would have to patch Holmes up, at least once... I mean, the man gets into all sorts of danger, and it's hard to believe that he always escapes without more than just a scratch or bruise.Β

I so do love the expression on Watson's face. It's sort of reproachful, as if he did warn warn Holmes, but of course, he didn't listen... Or something along those lines...

And you did a very good job on the anatomy! Thin, scrawny, with hard, defined lines... It's our Holmes indeed. All brain, very little body. I like how you did all that research, before even knowing what to do with it. I do the same thing, really, only I don't draw that much. I'm more of the writer type, so I have this large archive of facts and ideas, ready to be used. It's a rather fun way of working, don't you think?

Anyways. I'm rambling. Nice concept, nice drawing!

Thanks very much indeed!!

I know right? There's no way he can go about the business he gets himself into without getting banged up now and then, especially as he's notΒ all that careful with himself Β

Yep, thats pretty much what Watson is thinking- sort of exasperated and suchlike, cause he likely did indeed ignore such a warning XD

And thanks! I definately always imagine him scrawny and angular. And even if his shorts aren't quite historically accurate, it was terribly amusing finding out which ones are, lol! Definately love having random, funΒ 'useless' information bits and ideasΒ floating about my head too! Us artistically inclined drawing and writing types can use that info later, so its good to stock up!

And thanks again, I do always appreciate a nice ramble, lol!

Haha I love that you did all this research... Thought I was the only one that did that.
And yes, Sherlock's wiry body is really well-done! You're good at drawing torsos! Besides the technical awesomeness of it, I love the idea of Watson patching Sherlock up. Their expressions are great XD In short, BRAVO!

Ya, I'm weird like that- questions dont leave me alone until I look them up, so... I usually do XD Glad I'm not the only one!

Reminds me of myself when my mother checks my back after I get a sunburn, I look at her and think "GOD, that hurts don't touch it! stop rubbing aloe on it and just leave me be woman!" and she looks at me and says, "why the heck didn't you wear sun block?" and I told her, "well, I'm Mexican, I tan." her on the other hand, she's white as a sheet. (I take more after my dad than my mom)

Lol! I figure Sherlock would probably act all nonchalant, at least until he thinks Watson cant see his wincey faces, then Watson would see through it and be, while concerned, amused at his facade- what I was trying to go for anyways XD

Uuhg, I never burnt when I was a kid, but I definatly do now. Not that I've had the opportunity yet with all the rain we've got!

Ahaha) I like their expressions) Seems like:
W: Be patient, Holmes. I'll try to stich it carefully...
H: Just try to finish it as soon as possible, okay?
)
As for the anatomy, it's great) I think Holmes was really that thin) But I wonder where did he get all those bleeding cuts?....)

Thanks very much, and for the fav too! Thats pretty much exactly what I was going for And I've always imagined him ridiculously thin!
Well, I suppose he got in a fight somewhere... Ambushed by villians? Interogations of suspects gone wrong? Attempted warning off of a case? Hmmm... In any case, you should see the other guys! I'm sure they look much worse XD
