Description UPDATE: Loki is now officially a part of the HARPG. I decided to go with *WSTopDeck 's suggestion and have that last quarter of him be a Welsh pony sec. C. ^^

A doodle that turned out quite nice. No refs, so forgive his crappy back legs.

Was thinking of perhaps adding this guy to the HARPG eventually. He will probably be 3/4 icelandic, 1/4... umm, something else. He's supposed to be a chocolate silver dapple pinto (tobiano and sabino patterns).

Uhm, yeah. No stealing, please.

WOW O_O just when I saw the picture in small view I thought to myself this has to be an Icelandic horse. And I was right ^^ *is proud* You really caught the icelandic look!

Thanks. ^^ I did have icelandic in mind when I drew this, although he didn't come out exactly as I pictured. I'm very happy my original thought shows in the drawing though. ^^

Yup, really. When I was young I drew horses with *looong* backs, and when I realized it didn't look quite right, my freehand equines seem to have gotten more and more compact over the years. Maybe I need to figure out when enough is enough. Glad you still like him, though.
Btw, about 10 years ago, I took care of a 7 year old gelding that was built more like a foal than an adult (long legs on a short body). He was a bit of a goof (bit the stable cat by the tail, and chewed the electric fence for example), but still a big sweetheart. Unfortunately, he had to be put down a year later because of cancer in his mouth. Still miss him sometimes.
