We had to use only the primary colors and black to make the picture. NO LINES allowed. Only dots. It was pretty good. I think id I'd picked a picture that was less... dramatic.. it would've been harder. But the graininess was perfect for the mood. And, yes, if I do another one I'll definitely upload it! I really LOVE doing them, but I can't afford the supplies right now. That was done on Strathmore high quality paper and prismacolor markers. LOL I'm broke. XD

Even if the original pic isn't yours, pointilism is tedeous, challengeing and hard as hell to do. Great results for the work.

Thanks! I can see you've been subjected to pointalism or stippling before! XD

This is VERY impressive. At first I thought that this was a photo manip! But pointalism with only 4 colors to work with, that is truly impressive. I'm curious too, about how long did this one take you to do?

I actually answered that in another question that I responded to before I got to this one. So that I don't have to type it again, I'm gonna give you a link.... though it's around on this chain of comments anyway. XD [link]

Umm.. it took me personally about 4 hours total over two days to color it. Add two more hours if you want to talk about the formatting, grid lines, and pencil lining. But we were given like two weeks to work on the project. My professor would have been so irritated at me because I was done a week ahead of schedule and that was be PRETENDING to work when she was looking... that's why it took me 2 days... If I had finished it in one class, she would've given me another assignment. (I love her to death, though! She's a fantastic professor!)
I work fast. It's just my style. It's what I do. She really wanted me to slow down on the project but she couldn't deny it's quality despite how fast I was working. So she let me away with this one, at least.

I'll be taking color theory at my college the semester after the next one coming up for myself. But nonetheless, very interesting take, especially with the restriction of color given. Excellent work and at first, I thought the part of her knee was some blob like creature attacking her or "consuming" her. That was my first take before noticing that it was her knee. But I have to ask, either my eyes hurt from no sleep, or I see some green in the top left hand corner.... maybe it's just me. Still, again, nice work there. Hope you do well in color theory!

You don't see green. It's where the dots from the yellow and blue overlapped.

I had a feeling it was color mix. My apologies on that.

pointillism... very impressive. something about the yellow teeth slightly puts me off, but considering the color range you had to work with, it can slide.
yes, very nice work.

Well, the teeth are supposed to be yellow and her mouth is supposed to be emphasized. It's not supposed to be something that identifiable as a beautiful piece. It's supposed to be a little off. ^_^;
