That's Tashoku. There are several more pictures of him in my gallery. He's one of my oldest standing characters at nearly 8 years old!

LOL! Tashy's (Silver) the oldest character... greated a good two years before Ray (blonde) was. Personally I think Ray got a better pose. My art wasn't being in tip-top shape that day. :> But Tash is a hotty.

Mmmm the darker skinned one has such a cute almost bashful pose..
Love what you do with the hair as well! What progam do you use for colouring?

I usually use Photoshop7. ^_^ Everyone loves Ray.. and he's a bit more bashful than Tash is.

Yeah.. I've noticed that about a lot of people. They get good... and for some reason they just don't respond to people. Well, I certainly don't consider myself that good at all.
If you have questions about transparency layers, Photoshop6 has them (as you might know if you own the program), and OpenCanvas 2 has them, GIMP has them (that's a nice free, extremely large program- but it's FREE like I said for download... has trouble on windows machines. lots of trouble if you're not a computer whiz).
If you have questions I'll be more than happy to walk you through some of my best tips and tricks. ^_~ I'm all too happy to teach people... as it seems many great artists are content to keep it to themselves.
As for the hair I just put it on a separate layer.. color it in, add shadow, then highlight. It's not so hard. It's easy to teach! Send me a devnote sometime about what programs you use and your technique!

Heeee hee hee.. the FASHION was vaguely inspired by a meander throught Hot Topics not too long before the image. I use that store for so much inspiration - it's cheaper than BUYING anything there. O_< I'm much too poor.

Oi tell me about it >.< I tend to lean more towards just making the things...its alot cheaper and sooo easy too!...cept some of the shirts which is still easy if you can get the logo and one of those places where they put things on shirts!...
Pah who needs hottopic!

I live in an area where it's HARD to get good material. About the only place we have around here that sells it is Wal-Mart.. in which it is the poorest quality fabric I have EVER set eyes on and to boot it will cost you an arm and a leg. (And you know GOOD and WELL that the name brand factories get twice the quality for half the price on their fabric and WAL-MART has the audacity to charge so much for crap fabric.) And it's something that has really infuriated me for the longest time! Grrr! If I could get good fabric, though, I'd be more than happy to make my own clothes. But I'm just not in the mood for wearing paper machΓ© cotton and old-lady patterned tissue paper. Β¬_Β¬

AtropaGrimm In reply to shigure-kisune [2003-10-07 21:12:25 +0000 UTC]
Oh well that makes it different. We have alot of cool material stores...and sadly no hot topic which I guess works since no money will be wasted there!
But still..that is odd...no material stores...You live in a little town or something?
π: 0 β©: 1
shigure-kisune In reply to AtropaGrimm [2003-10-07 21:40:14 +0000 UTC]
Oh.. we don't have a Hot Topic either. But there is one about a good 50 miles away. So we occasionally travel.... on weekends.
As for no material stores. Yeah, I live in a really tiny town. It's also a good bit agricultural and has a lot of plants and factories around. So it's not like a metropolitan center. ^_^;

Oooh...At least you have one close! I have to go to another bloody country to get to one and its just too much work with too little pay off.
Itty bitty town! I used to live in one of those..want it back...though almost live in the country now! Can go see the farms only a five min walk...
Still...heh shouldn't complain. At least there is the computer...yesss yesss....and art....-coos and hugs art and computer-
Oooh if you had credit car dyou wouldn't ever need to leave! Mail order!

shigure-kisune In reply to AtropaGrimm [2003-10-09 01:18:14 +0000 UTC]
Well.. I don't have a credit card and don't really like them. My parents have horrible credit because they once had one and it caused them to file for bankruptcy. Sooooo... I'll deal with cash. LOL.
But I don't really like small towns.. though big cities would bother me too... like really big cities. I like cities... but only kinda large ones. ^_^; picky picky...

AtropaGrimm In reply to shigure-kisune [2003-10-09 16:55:26 +0000 UTC]
Medium cities are good! But not if you live in the middle of the city cause thats just not nice...I been down town its really really bad with crazy people who pee on things right infront of you! In the middle of the day! Oh that was horrible >.< -shudders-
But yes I like cash more cept its hard to buy things off of anything but whats wher eyou live...unles youdrive somewhere...

shigure-kisune In reply to AtropaGrimm [2003-10-09 21:43:46 +0000 UTC]
Yeah.. that's the way. I like medium cities, as said. And you're right about cash. But I'd rather have to drive somewhere than end up in debt.

Eeei yes the debt thing scared me...I like interac cards! No debt! And no clunky cash but you can't use them like credit cards...I don't think you can...Ah well. Do you know anything about transparencies? In Photoshop?

Gah! You have to tell me how to use them!...I don't know what exactly I would use them for...but knowing how would be a huuuuge help!
π: 0 β©: 1
shigure-kisune In reply to AtropaGrimm [2003-10-15 21:02:25 +0000 UTC]
You're right! Knowing how to use the transparent layers would be a HUGE help for you. Drop me a dev note about it (so I'll be reminded to write up a tutorial.) No worries... I've gone through this process a thousand and one times with people. So I've refined it enough that it should be really easy to understand. I'm happy to explain it more than once, too... so don't hesitate to ask if you don't understand!
Lots of good technique I shall teach you!
