DescriptionSurprise! My Inktober theme is gift art. Today I drew Alou for AirSaber . It seems I'm a little bit rusty - I'm sorry for any mistakes with her design (or in general). I'll be keeping these black and white to stick to the oldschool rules.

Out of all of the ink pieces you made so far for this inktober, this is my favourite one. The way the black flows, the lines, those tiny lines, look so nice. And the expression on the face is so intense, I love it! c: Very nice detailing as well! ((And I see that you also use the Sakura 005, it's soooo goood!)).

Thank you! It definitely is more challenging to work with real paper and ink, knowing that your strokes are permanent. My problem is that I want to zoom in but I can't!

Hahaha! I think my main one would be forgetting that I can't just punch CTRL-ALT-Z when I mess something up. Although I think it would be good to stop being so reliant on that godsend every once in a while and actually work with real media.

Yeah I know what you mean haha! You're right - maybe doing traditional will help break you from the habit. Maybe you can work with a less scary thing like pencil first. I do a lot of lineart-like art using pencil. E.g. Muffin

Hahaha, I actually do work in pencil a lot, but I have the tendency to erase erase erase!!! like crazy, so it may as well be the same as being able to "undo" mistakes.
