Ah.
Cats Cradle it is.
Busy Busy Busy is what us Bokononists say when we know there are things more complicated going on.
I hope you reply to this, I don't think anyone else has known the book.

Thanks! No, nobody else got the reference. The painting itself isn't very obvious and unless you've enjoyed the book recently the quote probably wouldn't spring to mind either..

I say it to explain my love and appreciation of Kurt Vonnegut, not to brag that I have a great memory. But I must have read that book almost a year ago now.
Fantastic painting, really.
I hope you have enjoyed some of Vonnegut's other works!
Good job!

This is from a Vonnegut book right? He's my favorite author. I know I've read this book, but I can't remember which one it is...... *scampers off to look through all her vonnegut books*

My favorite is Cat's cradle ^____^ I read it all the time. I was trying to remeber the name of one of his short stories a while ago. It was driving me completly insane >3< I could only remeber the plot (kinda, I read it a long time ago) so I got all of my Vonnegut books and looked through them. I found it though, "A Report on the Barnhouse Effect"

he has two (that I know of at least) Welcome to the Monkey House and The Bagombo Snuff Box. Report on the "Barnhouse Effect" is in Welcome to the Monkey House along with "Harrison Bergeron" which I absolutly love. The other one has a really good story called "Thanosphere". You should read them if you get the chance ^____^ I'm off to re-read Cat's Cradle. I can't believe I couldn't remember that even though I've read it so many times ;_____;

Thanks! I was going for transluscent... it's more obvious in higher rez, but I'm terrible at balancing details at various levels of zooming so it looks like its lighter arbitrarily XC

lololol at first I was like, "haha why do they have random white hairs?" but then I read the comments and scrolled back up to take another look at it and NOW it looks like frost. um, not that I'm very familiar with frost anyway so that is possibly why I could not recognse it *australia*
the clouds are sososo cool though! the swirls and the colours and the unintentional batman symbol all look very cool.
Also the book sounds brilliant, I am going to hunt it down and read it.
