I fought with this one. So, so much. The base color layer is watercolor and since I don't do the whole transferring thing (I sketch directly on the paper I will be finishing the drawing on), I did this on bristol instead of watercolor paper. Which didn't at all give me the results I envisioned and I thought I had ruined it at first. But then I kept working on it and "fixed" it, getting something different but that I still like. yeah, i guess it's just like anything else. It's difficult to get good at and it takes a lot of time, and starting out is the hardest part, but once you do it enough, you just end up getting better, and it really does pay off in the end once you're able to make pieces like this. Haha, when i started off, I was total garbage, now I'm still pretty crappy, but it's a huge improvement. I'm actually thinking of getting back into art, that way I can build up my skill to something good and eventually make something I'm proud of. That's my main goal

This is just plain incredible, one of your best works yet. I love how you've managed to put together these two characters into such a great pose. I love how you put so much detail into this, this is one of your best peices of art yet in my opinion. The detail with the stings along with their near perfect semtetry really makes this one an amazing peice of art. I see nearly no flaws in the anotomy of your characters, the fox's lower abdomen seems to be sticking out a bit, but honestly it looks just about perfect to me. Keep up the good work.

Thank you very much! You are right about the abdomen, but I saw and kept it that way anyway for the purpose of keeping it strictly G rated, as anything a bit further away from the wolf would have started showing sheath. But yeah, duly noted.

It's a very nice picture with a very nice emotion. You can really feel how they feel at this moment. It's like a dance of love of beauty and strength.
The colors are very beautiful chosen. I really love the composition. Also the fur is just amazing. It looks very real.
But I also have to cricize some little things.
At first, the arm of the fox. At the crack between the upper arm and the forearm looks very strange, because there's a crease around the arm. And the passage from the orange to the brown isn't very nice because the brown looks a bit like a part of a glove or so.
The second thing is the right leg from the right one. I think it's a bit too long, well, the calf looks too long instead of the left leg.
The third thing is on the background, behind the right one. It looks like white mist and it looks like it's coming from the right one and that's disturbing.
But all in all it's a beautiful, dynamic pic with wonderful colors. I especially love the belt on their arms, which is connecting them. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b… " width="15" height="15" alt="

I definitely see what you mean about the passage from brown to red - it was a coloring mistake with the watercolors, I couldn't fix it anymore as the brown layered a bit too dark in the spot and it's impossible to wash it out from bristol without ruining the paper, unfortunately.
I also see what you mean about the leg! He is leaning on the left leg to the right should be lower because the hip angle is slanted, but yeah, definitely not that low.
Background: watercolor is very very very tricky to work with, especially on this paper. I tried to fix it the best I could.

Can't say I was ever much of one for same sex marriage, but this piece is very delicate and still cute. I think I've seen a handfastening ritual before in several different situations. Either way, it's still very cute. Well done hun!

Handfasting wasn't on my mind when I drew it, actually. But a few people have said that this reminds them of it before, and I think it's fitting too.
