Same here. I like to think the cat is there to give advice and guide whoever it is through their issues and then the Specimen chasing them is supposed to represent them overcoming their issues.

I guess the compass shows which side you're currently on?

I don't think so. The compass follows you no matter what direction you walk in. Maybe the worms represent how quickly you can change sides?

Yeah, that would explain it, they're pretty fast for worms...does the compass represent the witnesses, or...?

I wonder if we can ask the creator about it.
Despite learning origins on some of the specimens, some aren't elaborated on. Specimen 2 was most mysterious...
