This is Prometheus, a Metang of incredible intelligence. However his intelligence has led him to lead a lonely life and to evolving improperly, which led to the loss of his second arm, his right eye, and a weaker metal all together. However he makes the best of it, he's using his desire for a working arm as inspiration in his research of replacement limbs and pokemon biology.
Soon he will have an assistant. Soon...

Welp. I just found the one other metang in this group. He scares me. He's also creepily similar to my own. Not sure if I should be worried.
Actually, is it ok if Prometheus tags along when my team goes ninja hunting? I'll make sure to relay his dialogue to you first so you can check whether I got his character right.

First, I am truly flattered that you'd ask to cameo my character in your task! Unfortunetly I must decline on the sole fact that I don't believe Prometheus would actually participate in that task. He's a very goal oriented Pokemon, and if his activities aren't researching how to obtain a new arm or solidifying his position in the guild, he has no interest. But if you want to cameo him in another task or mission in the future please let me know! Again I am very flattered you asked!
I do have a question though; other than sharing a species and a couple attacks, how do you see our metangs as being creepily similar? From what I can see you couldn't get two more diverse and different metang. I am very curious.

Very valid reasons. I'll keep that in mind, then. Just asking ahead of time; a background cameo where he'd just happen to be around could work, right? For example, could I use him as in-the-way fodder on a busy marketplace when he's looking for alchemical ingredients or something? I like to keep my cameos in-character, so I'm sure I can find a purpose for him somewhere.
And on the similarity front, they do have a few more things in common. Morgan too evolved improperly, resulting in a heavily delayed eye malfunction. I'm slowly treading into spoiler territory here so if you don't mind, I'll shut up now.

Of course you can use him in the background doing misc. things! That would be awesome! If you want to use him for something specific in the future do let me know!

Their personalities are completely polar though, and they're even missing different eyes. Prometheus has light metal, Morgan is super heavy because lol gold is dense. Throw shinyness on top of that and it's basically as different as you can get.
Cue creepy "we're not so different, you and I."

It's true, they are as different as night and day despite their similarities. Heh, and i thought a mis-evolving Metang was original XD Well I guess it is if there's only two of us. Although he has a very good reason why he has light metal, but I won't say much more as that's also kind of spoilery |3 not impossible to guess but, ah You'll see :3

Anyhoo, I can see some sort of story forming in my mind between these two. I think I like it. It's also funny how they're the only two of their line in the entirety of the group. Most people I know were convinced I was the only one so I briefly abused the new atlas functions.

Checked the atlas again; two metang, zero beldum. Also, only one misdreavus for some reason. Weird. I randomized Morgan, but Curie was completely of my own design. I guess I like rarely used pokemon.

It's possible there are more and they just haven't registered with Atlas. I could have sworn I've seen at least one more Misdreavus. but yeah I checked too, I would have thought Metang would be more popular.

Yeah, some people might only check their dA weekly or less. I have found another mismagius, but that's it for now. I never actually expected to find another metang, by the way. I think most people'd go for another automaton type like magneton or porygon or something. I don't know, I'm not other people :P

A weakness we both share. Magneton was a consideration; I had plans to involve a magnemite in PMDE, but that never came to fruition. I might use a Magneton in the future, but for now I'm happy with prometheus.

Magneton used to be one of my favourites, now that I think about it. In a long-forgotten past... Good times, good times. Ah well. I have Morgan and Cherno now, you have Prometheus, so it's all good I guess. Automatons ftw.

Guess that means I should rewrite the part where he injects himself with Heliolisk DNA and becomes part Metal-UFO, part Lizard.
