Indeed it does look like Samuel Clemens, aka Mark Twain. I recognized him even from the thumbnail.

He looks very grumpy. Very nice, though. I really like the hair. its all glowy-wise and such. it looks kind of like you put your hand down on his right eye, though. It seems lighter than the rest of the pic. Whatever the case may be, it's loverly.

not a huge fan of Mark Twain...but this defenetly looks JUST like him!! Defenetly reminds me of my last years english class when we read Huck Finn....not a big fan of the book...but enough about that...this is so great! Good job capturing the wrinkles and creases in the skin...and the bowtie and neck area look great! The whole thing is super well done!!

good God woman! You are so good!!!!! Will you draw me a picture of Viggo Mortensen as aragorn for my mom for christmas? Lol no just kidding, I wouldn't want yours to show mine up ('cause you're a hell of a lot better than me ^_^)

exceptional piece

Jenna

p.s. I still haven't figured out how you get stuff so dark and smooth...my dark spots always turn out porous with the white paper... >.<

thank you! i actually really want to draw a picture of viggo, but i dont have time right now. i have five christmas projects i havent finished yet, lol. so im thinking i should get those done first. ne ways, to get that dark, u have to use really really smooth paper. the grainy sketch paper just doesnt work. try bristol:smooth aka bristol board. its really good for pencil drawings, and it makes them look super smooth, and its better for blending too! i sound like a walking adverstisement, lol. thanx again!
