The faded effect should only be imho on the brighter parts and not totally on the black space if you see what i mean, or at least not that uniformely spread if my english is correct.

other than that, it's a cool moody potato roots piece (that's a compliment.)

I love it. It has a dark, yet appealing feeling. Colors are nice as well.

Wonderful. I like the colors.
It's like a little glimpse inside a flower or a look underneath a garden.

i fail to see the resemblance between this and the work of weworkforthem , but i suppose you might have been inspired by the creativity of them? Anyways i really like the piece, and the way it seems vibrant and colourful despite the blurred dark areas and lack of black, which usually brings out other colours, and in itself is quite vivid. wonderful!

to be accurate on what image was inspired : [link] (center piece) and the image doesn't really have to have a resemblance. I'm don't consider copying the style and making an art piece similar to what i'm inspired like everyone else seems to be doing with that type of style. I get inspired by their talent and then create an image, not copy them. But i'm glad you enjoyed mine

i quite like the desaturation of the image, first its different and better than looking at oversaturated images, it gives a very weird mood to the peice once desaturated almost dead and sullen but still very appealing, i think you did a good job man, atleast your thought process involved was unique, thanks.

I agree with Dan too... but for what it is, and the point in the dingy sort of feel, it works. Some good colour choices anyway.

I thought the same as *Fenixgfx but after reading your reply to that, i see the point in it. Beautiful colours and work man.

thanks paul, i'm kinda getting into this whole thought of "the past" and how images didn't have quality in them and printing technology wasn't that evolved.

Fenixgfx [2005-02-13 12:05:55 +0000 UTC]

i dont like it at all , i'm actually quite dissapointed. Its really dingy and seems blurry to me. If it was larger , a little crisper and had more depth to it then i think i would be liking it. Sorry to put a downer on it. But i dont like.

shocks In reply to Fenixgfx [2005-02-13 15:43:03 +0000 UTC]

the original size is 1523 x 2035 Pixels and i'm glad you thought it was dingy and blurry, the whole point was bad quality

hm, nice. i like the organic shapes and the low contrast + the good choice of colours.
but i must say that im a bit disapointed by the size of the image, it's so small!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

shocks In reply to buzukie- [2005-02-13 15:35:22 +0000 UTC]

the original size was 1523 x 2035 Pixels, you don't need it any bigger than the size i chose to display here otherwise you'd have to scroll and then you loose the point of the image.
